This week brings some spectacular live music for you lucky animals. With touring bands galore and those small, low key, local gigs. Kaiser Chiefs do appear at Brighton Centre this Wednesday, but for £30, we can offer you a hell of a lot better than that. Get your teeth into this…
Tuesday 10/2/2015 – Blossoms bring their Northern goodness to The Prince Albert. Described as having ‘psyche-pop riffs, vocal melodies, a film noir meets 60s aesthetic, a range of audible references from Arctic Monkeys via Abba to The Doors – Blossoms are Stockport’s newest (and arguably finest) musical export.’ Support comes from Brighton four-piece The Island Club, with influences spanning from Alt-J to Peace and Pond. A must do for a Tuesday night. £7 tickets available.
Wednesday 11/2/2015 – The enigmatic St. Tropez arrive at Green Door Store, all we really know about them is that they are four punks who claim to reside in Amsterdam; they have recently released their debut EP in full on Soundcloud (which you can hear below) but this show is a must see. It’s free on Wednesday but it sure as shucks won’t be next time. Furthermore, support comes from one of our favourites: Animal Language with further support from Honey Moon.
Friday 13/2/2015 – Get smoochy and lovey dovey with Broadbay this coming Friday at Fitzherberts. It’s either Valentine’s Eve or it’s the most unlucky day of the year, or it’s just another bloody Friday which means another bloody big drink. Support comes from Ill, Nevermind Me, Water Canvas, Like Home and Pushing Daisies. The fun starts at 7:30pm and it’s all so free and fuckin’ dandy.
