Tuval has returned, this time not with his Heights but on his lonesome. After this gentleman and his band played at our showcase event back in March, we’ve been pretty damn hooked to what he has going on. The opening chapters to this gushing song string you in, in a very similar fashion to the likes of Cass McCombs and Kurt Vile et al – his voice oscillates between a picked guitar in an oozing fashion, seductive and enigmatic in it’s nature. Wavering upon a Jeff Buckley-esque vocal melody, Tuval has drummed up an exceptional single here demonstrating his talent for writing a piece of music alone, something that throws you upon the selfish waves he sings about and the salvation he promises you. There’s very little need to be delivered salvation in the future however, you’re already saved.
‘Obscure Salvation’ is released on the 12th of May. Be ready for when it drops. Get into more of his solo stuff and a taster from his stuff with the Heights below.
