Battery Operated Orchestra return with their latest cut of synth-pop goodness, ‘Radiation’ – watch here

Irony-free DIY synth-pop duo BOO (Battery Operated Orchestra) have unleashed the third music video from their hard, dark and shiny second album Radiation. Directed and shot by the band themselves with their own hand-made visual effects.

It’s a fuzzy, infectious new single – gliding vocals are undercut with squalls of synth and sampled rhythm, whilst sounds go off-centre frequently go off-centre before returnign to norm again. A great lesson in how to control disorder and constantly let it swell before reigning again.

Speaking about the new track, the band say: “Radiation is about taking our power back. So much of what we say and think has been transmitted to us by other people, but we can transmit right back. If matter is condensed energy then directed energy is potential matter, potential reality. Radiate.”
